Troubleshooting Your RFID Reader - Chainway C72 Reader

 
Summary

This article describes common problems you may encounter using Chainway C72 RFID device and helps you to resolve them.

The Possible issues are:

• Chainway C72 Device is not configured with the region.

• Chainway C72 Bluetooth is not turned on.

• Chainway C72 Device is already connected with other applications.

• RFID Tags are not getting read in TagMatiks Wedge.

A. Chainway C72 Device is Not Configure with Region

If the Region is not configured with the Reader, we need to configure the reader for scanning the tags using the Chainway C72 Reader in our application.

By following the below steps we can configure the region for Chainway C72 Reader using TagMatiks Wedge.

1. Open TagMatiks Wedge and login into it.

2. Click on Manage Reader option from the homepage of the Application. As shown in Fig 0.1.

3.As no RFID reader is connected with the application, then the status shows as “Reader Disconnected”.

4.To make the region configuration for Chainway C72 Device, Click on the “Manage Reader” button option from the home page of the application. Then the device name will appear in the manage readers page. As shown in Fig 0.2.

5.Click device name and go to the settings page. As shown in Fig 0.3.

7. Click Configure Region from the Reader Settings Menu.It will redirect to the regulatory page. As shown in Fig 0.4.

B. Chainway C72 Device Bluetooth is Not Turned ON

If the Bluetooth is turned off, Chainway C72 Reader will not connect with our applications. So we need to turn on the Bluetooth in device settings. Open the TagMatiks Wedge application after turning on the Bluetooth device, Reader should automatically connect with TagMatiks Wedge. We can find the Reader connection status by following the below steps. Open TagMatiks Wedge and login onto it.

1. Open TagMatiks Wedge Application and LogIn into it.

2. Home page of Application, In Manage Reader option we can see the status of reader.As shown in Fig 0.5.

C. Chainway C72 is already connected with another application.

If the Reader is already connected with another application, the system does not allow to pair the reader with TagMatiks Wedge. We need to close or terminate the connected application.

Open the TagMatiks Wedge application and login into it after disconnecting the reader from other applications, Reader should automatically connect with the application.

D. RFID Tags are not getting read in TagMatiks Wedge.

1. To read the RFID tags from chainway C72 reader; press the “Inventory” button option from the home page. As shown in Fig 0.6.

2. Then a new window will open, named: “Inventory” as shown in Fig 0.7.

3.Create a new Inventory transaction by pressing the “+” button on the right bottom of the application as shown in Fig 0.7.

4. Click on the “Scan” button for reading the RFID tags. As shown in Fig 0.8.

5.The Chainway C72 reader is in polling state and reading the tags. As shown in Fig 0.9.

6. Once you Press “Stop” button (on the right bottom of the application), the reader will stop reading the tags.

7. As a result, the read tags will populate on the application window, as shown in below image Fig 1.0.
