Setting up Your RFID Device - Chainway C72 Reader

Summary

This section contains setup information for using the Chainway C72 RFID Reader with the TagMatiks Wedge Application.

Pre-requisites

Chainway C72 device should be sufficiently charged.
Bluetooth of Android device should be ON.

This document is divided into multiple sections as:

A. Switching ON & OFF Chainway C72 Device

I. Turn ON the Chainway C72 reader

1. Turn on the Reader by pressing the Power button until the buzzer sounds

2. LED communicated mode Turns ON after the Switch on the Reader

II. Turn OFF the Chainway C72 reader

1. While Power is On, Press the Power button upto the buzzer sound.

2. If the communication mode LED turns off after the buzzer sounds, then the reader is powered off.

B. Connect the Chainway C72 Device to the Application

1.Open the TagMatiks Wedge Application and login onto it.

2. Chainway C72 Reader is automatically connect to the application once we login

Note:

The Chainway C72 Reader may not connect to the application due to the following reasons:

• The reader is connected to another app.

• The Reader's Bluetooth is not turned on.

• The Region for the Chainway C72 device is not configured.

If any of these issues occur, the system will show that the device is not connected to the TagMatiks Wedge application.

3. Click on the "Manage Readers" option on the Home Page. The Reader connection status can be seen on the Home Page, as shown in Fig 0.1 below.

4. Click on the Available Reader option from Manage Reader as shown in Fig 0.2.

5.After clicking on "Reader," it will connect and redirect to the Reader Settings Page. The application will also fetch the model and serial number of the connected Chainway C72, as shown in Fig 0.3.

The reader setting has the following Menu option as shown in Fig 0.3.

• Antenna - Adjusts the range of the RFID Reader.

• Configure Region - To Set the Region of the Country. As shown in Fig. 0.4

C. Reading of RFID Tags using Chainway C72 Device using TagMatiks Wedge Application

1. To read the RFID tags from chainway C72 reader; press the “Inventory” button option from the home page. As shown in Fig 0.5.

2. Then a new window will open, named: “Inventory” as shown in Fig 0.6.

3.Create a new Inventory transaction by pressing the “+” button on the right bottom of the application as shown in Fig 0.6.

4. Click on the “Scan” button for reading the RFID tags. As shown in Fig 0.7.

5.The Chainway C72 reader is in polling state and reading the tags. As shown in Fig 0.8.

6. Once you Press “Stop” button (on the right bottom of the application), the reader will stop reading the tags.

7. As a result, the read tags will populate on the application window, as shown in below image Fig 0.9.
